The packet is in the mail!!

Over the last month we've gotten  two birth certificates, four marriage licenses, two divorce certificates, one death certificate, two social security income letters, eight passport photos, and three background checks (by name). Now we've filled out all the necessary paperwork, signed all the forms and completed our initial wire transfer deposits to Ecuador Movers and put the whole package in the mail. Phew!!!!

We only hope everything was filled out properly, getting any replacements while we are off on our two month motorcycle trip will be a bit of a pain in the neck. Keeping our fingers crossed!

  1. Fingers are crossed for you. You are so cool.

  2. Whew is right. If it takes that much to move out of the country, I would've given up long time ago! Excited for you and can't wait to read your tales from Ecuador :)

  3. Wow! That is a lifetime of activity for most people!

Just as a backup - scan each document and email it to yourself with a Gmail account. That way a copy will be on the server and can be printed anytime and anywhere. It is only a copy but sometime that is all you need. If you have the original, a Noteria will notarize the copy. Include any other documents you might need (Drivers Licence, passports, library cards, whatever).

Latin Americans LOVE asking for copies of documents.
